A growing specialist construction and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Installation Manager to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality offsite installations across the South Coast. The company designs, manufactures and installs low‑carbon Structural Insulated Panel systems, supporting more sustainable and efficient building outcomes. This role has become available to help strengthen on‑site delivery as the pipeline increases, ensuring quality, safety and programme control from pre‑start through to handover. It would suit an established site or installation manager with timber frame or SIPS experience who enjoys taking ownership of live projects and improving delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate projects from pre‑start through to completion
- Carry out pre‑installation site visits to assess access, substructures, cranes, scaffolding and welfare
- Lead and support site installation teams to deliver work safely and to agreed quality standards
- Act as the main point of contact for live sites, clients and principal contractors
- Monitor programme, labour and site progress, addressing issues and risks promptly
- Carry out quality inspections, snagging and final handovers with full documentation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality requirements, including RAMS
Experience Required
- Proven experience in a site management, installation management or construction delivery role
- Background in timber frame, SIPs or engineered timber
- Strong understanding of site logistics, sequencing and live site coordination
- Experience leading subcontractors or employed site teams
- Ability to read and check drawings against installed works
- Experience preparing or reviewing RAMS and site safety documentation
Desirable
- SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent site management qualification
- Appointed Person or willingness to undertake training
- First Aid qualification
- Experience using project or site tracking systems
- Knowledge of timber frame or SIPs quality standards
- Experience supporting improvements in offsite or modular delivery
