We are looking for talented Senior Electrical Engineers to join our growing MEICA team, with experience in Instrumentation and Control Systems considered an advantage. In this role, you will contribute to the winning and delivery of projects across the UK within the Energy, Water and Resources sectors. Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop innovative and sustainable solutions while supporting the successful delivery of projects to agreed quality, programme and budget requirements. You will bring strong technical expertise and provide guidance on electrical and control systems design across a varied portfolio of projects. Our projects span renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro and energy storage), water treatment, water distribution, wastewater and industrial infrastructure. You will apply and further develop your knowledge of electrical and control systems, CDM regulations and industry best practice while contributing to technically robust and sustainable outcomes. Throughout your work, you will play a part in advancing Arup’s mission to create a low-carbon, equitable future aligned with our values and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in electrical design, ideally within Energy, Water, or Resources sectors
  • Ability to produce and interpret detailed design documentation and drawings
  • Experience with design tools and software (e.g., Trimble and other industry-standard systems)
  • Understanding of Electrical and/or Control Systems engineering, with specialist knowledge in at least one area
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects and strong knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; professional registration (IEng/CEng) preferred
  • Having a UK driving licence is preferred; holding or being eligible to gain security clearance is advantageous.
