Overview
In this role you apply electrical and control systems expertise to diverse infrastructure projects across energy, water, and resources. You will support winning and delivering work, collaborate with clients and partners, and ensure high-quality design outcomes within time and budget. Senior colleagues may lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor others while those early in their careers build hands-on experience and leadership foundations. The role contributes to Arup’s mission of a low-carbon future and sustainable development goals.

Responsibilities
- Interpret and produce detailed design documentation
- Support multidisciplinary project delivery across Energy, Water, and Resources sectors
- Contribute to design in line with CDM regulations and applicable standards
- Utilize design tools (e.g., Trimble) and develop complex design drawings
- Engage with clients and partners to win and deliver projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve quality, timelines and budgets
- Lead or mentor colleagues for senior roles as appropriate
Key requirements
- Experience in Electrical and/or Instrumentation and Controls engineering
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and design documentation practices
- Proficiency with design software/tools (e.g., Trimble)
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary projects across Energy, Water, Resources sectors
- Degree qualification: Master in Engineering or equivalent; professional registration (IEng/CEng) desirable
- UK driving license; security clearance eligibility advantageous
