The Opportunity

Arup is looking for an organised and proactive Treasury Analyst to join our global Treasury team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career finance professional to build practical experience across a broad range of front office treasury activities.

Working closely with the Treasury Operations Manager and wider team, you’ll support:

  • Daily cash management, funding, investments, foreign exchange, cash forecasting, intercompany settlements and banking activities.
  • Exposure to our evolving treasury management systems and wider finance transformation programme, with opportunities to improve processes and develop your systems and data capabilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Support daily global cash management, ensuring funding requirements are identified and executed accurately.
  • Work within the Treasury Management System (TMS), maintaining accurate data and supporting cash positioning and forecasting.
  • Assist with cash investments, loans, FX transactions and intercompany funding.
  • Produce daily and weekly cash reporting and support short-term cash forecasting, working alongside FP&A.
  • Coordinate intercompany settlements, partnering with Shared Service Centres, Tax, local teams and banking partners.
  • Support bank account openings, closures, mandates, signatories and regulatory documentation across multiple countries.
  • Build effective relationships with banks and internal stakeholders to resolve operational, funding and systems queries.
  • Contribute to Treasury systems development, process mapping, automation and continuous improvement.

Is this role right for you?

We’re looking for someone who is curious, numerate and keen to build a career in Treasury or Finance. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • A recent degree, preferably in finance, economics, business, accounting or a STEM discipline.
  • Some initial experience within finance, treasury, banking or a related environment.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive, organised approach and confidence taking ownership of tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for learning and developing within a global Treasury function.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Power BI, data manipulation, treasury systems or previous exposure to treasury activities.
