Job Title – Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer
Location – Southampton
Arup is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy committed to delivering innovative solutions across buildings, transport infrastructure, and utilities. We are looking for a Discipline Lead with excellent design, communication, technical, and sustainability skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi‑professional design teams, taking responsibility for projects from inception to completion to achieve outstanding results.
This is a leadership role where you will have responsibility for the financial performance of the projects, including liaising directly with clients on fees and commercial matters, and effectively overseeing total project delivery by enabling effective team management and delegation to ensure efficient and satisfactory delivery of multiple and complex projects. You will report directly to the Project Director.
Qualifications
- Achieved Chartered Engineer status.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, ideally at master’s level.
- Skilled in winning and delivering a range of projects.
- Experience providing leadership of electrical teams on multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Strong awareness of sector‑specific legislation, code requirements, design guidance, and future trends.
