On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Project Manager for a 12 Month contract based in London (hybrid).
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience
Purpose of the role: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our established and growing Programme and Project Management (PPM) team. You will be part of a diverse collaborative team responsible for the successful delivery of our project and programme management commissions across all our markets and clients.
What you'll do:
- Being the day-to-day project manager on a range of large and small projects and programmes, throughout the project lifecycle.
- Overseeing multi-disciplinary design teams, contractor site progress and performance, identifying risks and issues, and supporting corrective actions.
- Contract administration between Arup and our clients, and with our partners and suppliers.
- Integrating diverse skills and experiences into a team to deliver commissions to a high standard of quality, and client satisfaction.
- Developing client relationships, contributing to tenders and market engagement activities, and identifying and monitoring project leads and opportunities.
- Identifying and mitigating reputational and commercial risks to Arup.
The skills you'll need:
- Knowledge of project and/or programme management.
- Management of small, low risk projects and project tasks.
- Understanding of the conflict between time:cost:quality.
- Contract administration using a range of standard forms of construction contract.
- Overseeing Contractor progress; taking actions to resolve issues and escalate key risks.
- A strong sense of self-awareness with an ability to get work done through others by chasing the project team to complete actions.
- An ability to develop a network of peers and influence and collaborate with colleagues from many different backgrounds and levels of seniority.
- Degree in relevant discipline, including Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Project Management.
