This job is with ARUP, an inclusive employer. Joining Arup, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex offshore ground engineering projects, while supporting the growth and development of junior engineers through mentoring and technical leadership. You will build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted day-to-day contact and contributing to business development opportunities.
This role offers the opportunity to lead project delivery as a Project Manager or Engineering Lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing interfaces across a range of engineering disciplines. You will also contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and tender submissions and will be supported in developing your project management capabilities.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record specializing in the delivery of offshore wind ground engineering projects. We are particularly interested in the skills and experience below:
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and geotechnical design.
- Experience delivering ground engineering projects from concept through to detailed design, including projects for the offshore wind industry.
- Experience in offshore foundation design and installation assessment.
- Experience planning and specifying offshore site investigations and advanced laboratory testing programmes.
- Experience preparing Offshore Geotechnical Interpretive Reports (GIRs) and interpreting large geotechnical datasets.
- Familiarity with the interpretation of advanced cyclic testing results and offshore soil characterisation.
- Proficiency in finite element software such as PLAXIS, LS-DYNA or similar.
- Proficiency in Python or other coding tools to support automation and advanced engineering analysis.
- Good understanding of integrated ground models and the use of geophysical data within offshore projects.
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership, is desirable.
