The Opportunity: We live in a world facing huge challenges of climate change and adaptation. The infrastructure we rely upon to keep our societies healthy, vibrant and productive will need to change and develop to meet those challenges and we aim to be part of that process.

We are looking for an engineer to join our infrastructure mechanical team to deliver projects that benefit society, industry and the environment. You will have the opportunity to build experience and specialist skills in the areas that interest you the most by working with multidisciplinary teams on projects that may include:

  • Energy infrastructure
  • Dams, reservoirs and flood control
  • Renewable energy systems
  • Hydrogen and energy storage systems
  • Water treatment and supply
  • Industrial process systems

You will have the opportunity to make a difference - to Arup, to our staff and to the clients and communities we serve. With collaboration at its core, our team works with major Energy, Water and Industrial clients as well as numerous individual commissions. Our multi-disciplinary engineers work closely together on a wide variety of utility and industrial projects across the UK and beyond. Is this role right for you? We are seeking the below skills and knowledge:

  • Experience of mechanical engineering for water, energy or industrial systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment selection and application
  • Knowledge and experience of design tools and software
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
