Our Social Value Team work across all of Arup's project portfolios, helping ensure we embed social value in the work we do for clients leading to improved quality of life, and to a more inclusive, equitable and just society.

The Opportunity

As a Social Value Delivery Graduate, you'll help Arup's teams and clients plan, deliver and measure meaningful social outcomes across a wide range of projects and sectors in the North of England including infrastructure, transport, energy, buildings, and planning. You'll support social value commitments from bid stage through to delivery and reporting, helping to translate client ambitions into practical, evidence-based actions that showcase Arup's commitment to social usefulness. This could include coordinating and tracking skills and employment programmes, supporting education and careers initiatives, community projects, Equalities and diversity programmes, wellbeing activities. You'll also contribute to data analysis and reporting, helping project teams and clients understand their social, environmental and economic impacts. Working alongside experienced consultants, you'll gain exposure to how Arup delivers social value within a commercial consultancy context, supporting compliance with social value policy and helping shape innovative approaches to inclusive and sustainable outcomes.

For This Opportunity, We Are Seeking The Following:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Social Policy, Sociology, Human Geography, Urban Studies, Sustainability, Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Awareness of key social issues affecting communities and under-represented groups.
  • Understanding of the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good data analysis and interpretation skills (Excel or similar).
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Team-oriented and able to build effective relationships.
  • Demonstrable interests in delivering meaningful change and measurable impact.
  • Evidence of delivering social impact through community engagement, volunteering, research, or project coordination in a social or sustainability context.
