Qualifications
- A degree qualification, ideally in engineering science, mechanical, civil, or aeronautical engineering (2:1/60% or higher or equivalent) but other degree courses with an emphasis on mathematics and modelling will also be considered.
- Previous experience in a related consulting role or relevant post‑graduate research.
- A strong interest in fluid dynamics and how it impacts the built environment.
- A strong interest in numerical, statistical and/or physical modelling.
Responsibilities
- Undertake analysis and design on behalf of clients or in collaboration with other teams within Arup.
- Use analytical and numerical methods such as CFD and dynamic thermal modelling as well as wind tunnel modelling and other forms of testing to inform the design process.
- Interact with architects, developers and engineers on projects in diverse sectors including buildings, energy, industry and transport.
