The Opportunity
The Finance Business Services PMO supports a global change program across Finance Business Services which in turn supports the wider Global Finance strategy. The PMO Finance Systems Analyst role is critical in working with the Group Head of Finance Programmes in supporting finance business services owners in delivering strategic finance change projects that impact finance systems, processes and ways of working across Finance Business Services and the wider business. You will work closely with Project Managers and transformation specialists in delivering critical activities that contribute to the successful execution of the finance change program e.g. process mapping, data analysis, modelling, reporting, communications including development of materials for project boards, training support, documenting and mapping processes and facilitating project related workshops.
Responsibilities
- Gather complex business requirements and translate them into functional and technical requirements with application delivery teams and business stakeholders.
- Interpret and present data with a comprehensive understanding of finance processes and systems, including data completeness, validations and mapping.
- Facilitate workshops to understand and prioritise requirements, documenting outputs and progressing them with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure clarity on agreed functional and non‑functional requirements, prioritising activities with the project management team.
- Support business owners in developing business cases and feasibility analysis to scope projects.
- Facilitate meetings and contribute to project discussions, establishing metrics for measuring key project deliverables.
- Document finance process flows, system environments and user interface requirements with delivery teams.
- Define user acceptance testing criteria and support the execution and tracking of user testing.
- Generate ideas and solutions to improve overall system/process design and streamline delivery of processes/systems.
- Support change projects such as business process re‑engineering, system customisations and software upgrades.
- Correct poorly structured or inaccurate data flows and related processes with business owners.
- Assess and report on budget vs actual performance.
- Record and maintain all aspects of RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies).
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience delivering in a financial environment, complex analysis, process mapping and problem solving.
- Strong knowledge of finance business processes and systems, and expertise in business analysis to produce, analyse and document requirements, and identify inter‑dependencies of internal systems.
- Competent in mapping processes from Level 1 to Level 4 and validating with business process owners.
- Experience with workflow analysis and process modelling.
- Deep knowledge of interpreting transactional data relating to finance process flows, supporting analytics for business case development, mapping and tracking data flows in complex system environments.
- Strong awareness of change management requirements, including creating training manuals and communication materials.
- Expert knowledge of Business Analysis principles and requirements gathering for internal processes and systems.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills, organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities.
