The Opportunity: Shape the future of finance at Arup. We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to play a pivotal role in Arup’s global Finance Strategic Transformation Programme, delivering Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM across our worldwide business. This landmark transformation will modernise our finance capabilities, unify data and processes, and enable better decision-making, efficiency, and user experience across the organisation.
As Data Migration Lead, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end migration of finance data, ensuring a successful transition from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion. Working closely with Finance, Digital Technology, business stakeholders, and implementation partners, you will oversee migration planning, data quality, testing, reconciliation, cutover readiness, and business sign-off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of finance data migration activities across the programme.
- Manage data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and loading activities.
- Define and oversee source-to-target mappings, conversion rules, and migration processes.
- Coordinate mock migrations, test loads, dress rehearsals, and cutover activities.
- Manage migration defects, risks, dependencies, and remediation plans.
- Provide robust reporting, governance updates, and readiness assessments to programme leadership.
- Maintain migration documentation, controls, audit trails, and formal sign-off processes.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience leading data migration workstreams within large-scale ERP or finance transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of finance master and transactional data, including suppliers, customers, projects, assets, chart of accounts, and balances.
- Hands-on experience with data migration tools and techniques, including data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and load management.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP data migration processes, ideally Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Experience managing mock loads, cutover rehearsals, defects, and migration sign-off activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business, technical, and partner teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on quality, governance, and delivery to deadline.
Desirable Experience:
- Oracle Fusion data migration, including FBDI templates, load validation, and reconciliation.
- Data governance, data quality, and master data management practices.
- Finance reporting, controls, analytics, and downstream integration requirements.
