Our team forms part of Arup’s Energy, Water and Resources (EWR) South group which consists of approximately 130 engineers and technicians. Together we deliver work in a variety of markets such as Transport, Energy, Water, Industry, Science and Property.This role is focused on leading civil engineering design and delivering multidisciplinary projects from a technical and commercial perspective. You would take ownership of civil design packages, preparing and reviewing drawings, reports, specifications and presentations, while coordinating resources and monitoring project performance. The role covers a range of infrastructure areas, including earthworks, roads and streets, public realm, utilities, flood risk and drainage, with opportunities to work across projects in the UK and internationally.You would work closely with clients and other disciplines, support bids and business development, contribute to technical training and help develop the wider team. The ideal candidate will be Chartered or Incorporated, have strong civil engineering design experience, be comfortable managing multiple projects and demonstrate a commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement.Reporting to the Civil Engineering South Team Leader, you will be responsible for:Managing multidisciplinary engineering projects, planning resources and monitoring commercial performanceLeading the civil engineering design on projects.
