The Opportunity

Our Marketing, Communications, and Business Development (MCBD) team enables Arup to build and protect our reputation, deepen client relationships, win quality work, and attract top talent. This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions. We are seeking a Marketing Manager for our Energy business in the Europe, United Kingdom, India, Middle East and Africa (EIMEA) Region.

The Marketing Manager, Energy, EIMEA will help develop and implement Arup’s integrated marketing and communications plan for the Energy business across selected geographies to continue positioning Arup at the forefront of accelerating a fair and just transition to a secure, resilient and equitable low‑carbon energy future.

The role plays a key part in partnering with the business to enable the full capability of the MCBD function to be effectively deployed against Arup’s business priorities, as outlined in the integrated business plan (IBP) and in response to relevant Market Plans. This includes working closely with Global and Regional Portfolio, Business and Geography Marketing Managers, Communications Managers, Priority Pursuits and Bid Teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Energy business in understanding and assessing the market, including the competitor landscape, to inform strategic decisions and business plans, service propositions and market positioning.
  • Through strong marketing & communication campaigns and sales enablement, promote, build and maintain market awareness of Arup’s credentials in the Energy market, ensuring alignment with global market positioning, messages and materials through all channels.
  • Partner with Business stakeholders to identify, assess and proactively manage Arup’s relationships with strategically important and regionally significant industry and business associations and similar bodies to enhance Arup’s reputation, broaden market reach, build relationships with clients and industry influencers and enhance work‑winning opportunities.
  • Create opportunities for relationship building and lead generation through targeted marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess ROI on marketing and communications campaigns and sales enablement programmes against industry standards and benchmarks, identifying and acting on continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead a team, setting a culture of excellence, accuracy and attention to detail, and support them to connect their solutions to bigger picture issues. Also plan continued professional development for yourself and others.

Is this role right for you?

  • Undergraduate or further degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing, Business, Management, Commerce or Economics; and/or a postgraduate professional qualification or accreditation in marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and influencing.
  • Proven ability to build effective organisational networks and trust‑based, highly collaborative working relationships with peers, leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
