You will work with colleagues focused on coastal engineering and maritime and ports projects, influencing the shaping of coastal schemes, flood protections and port developments. You will directly collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, local councils, port owners/operators, financial institutions, contractors and public sector bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial aspects, including monitoring progress and costs against programme and budget.
  • Plan and manage team resources and deliverables through collaboration with supporting disciplines.
  • Assist others through technical collaboration and mentor less experienced members of the team. Adequate support will be provided to enable this.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
  • Experience in coastal, maritime, or offshore engineering projects (e.g., breakwaters, flood defences, quay walls, jetties, dredging, scour protection).
  • Experience producing technical documentation (reports, calculations, drawings, specifications).
  • Knowledge of physical modelling and metocean / wave / sediment transport analysis.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
  • Ability to manage small projects or work packages and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
