We have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our established Building Engineering team and work on a wide range of projects across commercial, residential, education, energy, sport, healthcare and mixed-use developments. As part of our commitment to digital innovation, you will contribute to the ongoing transformation of our business by exploring new ways to improve efficiency through automation and leveraging our integrated digital design approach to deliver enhanced services and better outcomes for our clients. You will play an active role throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver electrical building services as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Apply engineering expertise to shape and deliver innovative projects that maximise value for clients while supporting their journey towards Net Zero Carbon.
  • Collaborate across project disciplines and contribute to feasibility studies, design development, documentation, and project delivery.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives and leverage integrated design approaches to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Services Engineering, ideally to Masters level.
  • Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution such as IET or CIBSE.
  • Excellent design and technical skills with demonstrable experience in electrical building services design across a range of project scales and building types.
  • Experience in leading design on projects for Electrical Services Engineering and working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary design teams from inception to completion.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills; excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and develop relationships with external team members.
  • Committed to professional development and seeking challenging work to develop engineering skills.
  • A passion for design with enthusiasm for architecture and sustainable building design.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude and experience in design analysis software.
  • Experience of working within a BIM environment using Revit is beneficial.
  • Experience in managing small teams to ensure successful project delivery; interest in training and developing younger engineers and technicians.
