Arup's Procurement Advisory team provides strategic advice and procurement services to construction and infrastructure clients in the UK and internationally. Based in the UK and operating globally, we are an award-winning Centre of Excellence recognised by industry bodies including the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS). We pride ourselves on providing expert advice across a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside other specialists in the Procurement Advisory team and across Arup to deliver a wide variety of procurement activities at every stage of projects and the procurement lifecycle.
  • Provide expert procurement advice and delivery capabilities to clients commissioning capital programmes and projects.
  • Deliver best practice end-to-end procurements across the public and private sectors, including procurement strategy, tender management and contract award services.
  • Provide input into project business cases, strategies and delivery models to embed robust and pragmatic commercial and procurement practices.
  • Provide commercial advice and support to clients to define, negotiate and award a range of standard and bespoke contracts.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Procurement Advisory team through supporting client management activities, bid preparation, and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in embedding excellence into end-to-end procurement across the built environment.
  • Background within procurement, supply chain management, and commercial management across the built environment and infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of drafting procurement strategies, tender documentation and tender evaluation reports for a variety of construction, infrastructure, and professional services projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a tendering process from inception to contract award on significant projects.
  • Knowledge of UK public procurement regulations and governance (e.g. Procurement Act 2023, PCR/UCR) and ability to ensure compliant procurement processes.
  • Degree qualified and Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or working towards MCIPS.
