Graduate Structural Engineer - Leeds

The Opportunity:

• Our projects range in scale from major infrastructure to small alterations, all rooted in our core desire to shape a better world.

• The first step is learning the craft of being a structural engineer, shadowing an experienced engineer within the team.

The role includes:

• Analysis: Carrying out structural calculations, modelling, engineering, computer, and hand analysis.
• Design: Finding structural engineering solutions that minimise embodied carbon and achieve sustainable development goals.
• Communication: Through various means including drawings, sketches, digital modelling, and written reports.
• Working with teams: Cooperating, helping others, and solving problems together.
• Learning: The practice of structural engineering, codes of practice, software, materials, and construction techniques.
• Planning your work: Agreeing deadlines and working effectively with the team.
• Taking responsibility: For the quality and timely delivery of your work and your own professional development.
• Finding new ways: Learning international best practices and developing new ideas.
• Investing time in people: Developing relationships with your project team and peers.

Is this role right for you?

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

• Degree in Civil, Structural, General or Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Science, at 2.1 or above.
• A passion for structural engineering.
• Full working rights in the country of application.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree.
