Our Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a college, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships have a typical duration of two to three years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you will continue to progress with Arup once you have completed your course.
The Opportunity: You will be part of a team of BIM technicians and engineers assessing, designing and supervising civil engineering works. You will work on a wide range of projects – from flood alleviation and defence, river improvements to wastewater treatment works and sewerage systems. Projects and designs will come in all shapes and sizes, and could involve dams and reservoirs, roads and pavements to car parks, drainage, and earthworks and energy. You will be involved in the computer modelling and drawing of the designs using BIM software to convey the solutions to contractors and clients. Furthermore, you will help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients. As part of your apprenticeship, you will study towards a Level 3 qualification in Civil Engineering with one of our local partner colleges. You will work towards your Professional Qualification and acceptance into the Institute of Civil Engineers and on completion and acceptance receive the letters EngTech MICE.
