The Opportunity

We are seaching for a Design Coordinator at an Associate level, to work on a diverse range of clean water and wastewater engineering projects within our major client portfolios. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technical excellence and innovation. You will join a diverse team with a wide range of skills in delivering exciting projects as part of our Energy, Water & Resources group ideally located in either Leeds, Manchester and/or Liverpool. You will be accountable for providing echnical direction to our multi-disciplinary water teams and working in partnership with water companies and Design/Build Contractor clients. In this role, you will help to shape the design and delivery of exciting clean water and wastewater projects ranging up to £200M capital construction cost.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for an experienced colleague to lead large design and build clean water and wastewater projects, located in the North West or Yorkshire regions.

The following skills and knowledge are of interest:

  • Chartered Engineer with post-chartership qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, including Civil/Water, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process/Water Engineering.
  • Extensive experience delivering clean water, wastewater, and sludge treatment projects, including combined sewer overflows (CSOs), stormwater management, and water network infrastructure.
  • Comfortable with managing client interfaces to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to agreed technical, programme, and quality requirements.
  • Experienced in developing and evaluating design solutions from concept through to the selection and development of preferred solutions, with strong stakeholder and client management capabilities.
  • Skilled across outline and detailed design stages, supporting the successful transition from design through construction, commissioning, and handover of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Experienced in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary teams of senior and early-career engineers, consultants, and technicians.
