We have an exciting opportunity for an MEP BIM Technician to join one of our creative and inclusive Building Engineering groups in our Leeds Office. Our flourishing team is part of the Property, Science & Industry Portfolio in the North and is undergoing continuing growth and development as it continues to win major work in the data centre, industrial, healthcare, Rail and science sectors. Current focus areas for the team include several new build hyperscale Data Centres, Rail, hospitals and science laboratories.

The role will include:

  • Assisting setup and model management of project models in accordance with project standards.
  • Support the MEP team in producing high-quality, data-rich 3D models and drawings - modelling of a range of MEP services, including but not limited to mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment and drainage.
  • Take responsibility for specific aspects BIM delivery and drawing packages on projects from concept through to completion.
  • Support the proactive coordination of all MEP services elements including close liaison with Architecture and Structural team both internally and externally.
  • Mentor team apprentices working within the BIM environment.
  • Use Common Data Environments, utilising collaboration platforms such as ACC/Forma, BIM360.
  • Work towards delivering BIM in accordance with ISO 19650.

We are looking to speak to people who:

  • BTEC ONC / HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent BIM qualification.
  • EngTech qualification or working towards.
  • Experience within the building services industry (consultancy and/or contractor).
  • Good understanding of model and drawing production using Revit MEP (Minimum 4 years experience).
  • Understanding of EIRs and BEPs, plus interpretation and implementation.
  • Awareness of utilising Navis / ACC to conduct reviews, visual audits and clash detection.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems and how services should be routed and coordinated to a design level of detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to co-professionals, contractors and clients.
  • Proven success of working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
