The Opportunity Our team (www.arup.com/dyna) supports Arup’s longstanding commitment to improve the world, by developing market-leading tools that enable us and our clients to develop solutions to tackle the most challenging engineering problems. Our Oasys LS-DYNA Environment software is used in the automotive, nuclear, and civil engineering community. One of its primary uses is the modelling and testing of vehicle crashworthiness, but it is also used to simulate design-critical scenarios in aerospace, seismic, nuclear, geotechnical, structural, and product design applications. Join us in our London or Birmingham offices and you’ll be part of a growing, global team working onadvanced engineering software, challenging the limits of what is technically possible, developing complex algorithms, and solving clients’ problems. Remit: Collaborating in an agile environment to further strengthen our powerful desktop applications, PRIMER,D3PLOT,T/HISandREPORTER. Writing high-quality code for our high-performance software – our core code base is a mix of C, C++, and Fortran with scripts in JavaScript and Python. Designing, coding, writing automated tests, performing quality assurance, documenting new features, and maintaining existing code. We’re looking for a candidate who has: A BA or MA in Engineering, Maths, Physics or Computer Science (2.1 or above or equivalent). A strong background in maths. Experience in software development or engineering simulation Knowledge of C or Fortran. A desire to combine technical knowledge with desktop software development.
