The Opportunity
Join Arup’s global-first procurement team and help shape strategic sourcing across IT categories including software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and infrastructure. You’ll lead sourcing and contracting projects, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with technical, legal, and finance teams to deliver value-driven outcomes. Your work will support our digital strategy, improve performance, reduce risk, and align with Arup’s sustainability and decarbonisation goals. Reporting to the category lead, you’ll drive procurement excellence across global and regional operations—enhancing quality, efficiency, and stakeholder impact.

Is This Role Right for You?
You’re an experienced IT procurement professional with a strong track record in negotiating across software, cloud, infrastructure, and hardware. You understand best practices in sourcing, contracting, and supplier management, and can confidently manage risk and deliver measurable value. You bring multi-regional experience, strong commercial acumen, and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you hold a relevant degree and professional qualification (e.g. MCIPS), and you’re passionate about using procurement to drive sustainability and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and contracting across IT categories (software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, infrastructure)
- Negotiate supplier agreements and manage renewals, performance, and risk
- Collaborate with technical, legal, and finance teams to align deals with strategy
- Conduct vendor due diligence and ensure compliance with data security and GDPR
- Drive sustainable procurement practices to support carbon reduction goals
- Maintain accurate records and report on procurement progress and impact
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence across global and regional teams
- Deliver cost savings, quality improvements, and risk mitigation through strategic procurement
- Use procurement technology to enhance efficiency and value delivery
