We help clients develop asset management strategies, optimise investment plans, implement digital tools and evolve asset management business processes.

We are looking for a Senior Asset Management Consultant to join the team specialising in the Water sector. This role is based in the north of England or Scotland, with hybrid working available (typically around two days a week in the office).

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

We’re seeking candidates with a background in infrastructure assets, asset management or operations and a working knowledge of whole‑life asset management principles, including ISO 55000. The role requires experience or awareness in several of the following aspects:

  • Asset management strategy, policy and capability development
  • Strategic investment planning
  • Organisational structure, performance, change and governance
  • Project management
  • Procurement and supply chain
  • Business case development and feasibility studies

As a senior member of the team your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include business development (including managing the preparation of bids), project and commercial management and people management and development. We Are Seeking Candidates With

  • Experience of working in, or advising, infrastructure asset management organisations, ideally within a consulting environment.
  • A background of operating in a regulated environment.
  • An inquisitive mindset who are comfortable working across changing priorities and projects with the ability to lead technical work and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences including clients, senior management and non‑specialists.
