The Opportunity
On this 10-12-month Internship you'll work alongside skilled professionals on real-life meaningful projects, adding value to clients while exploring challenges with curiosity and creativity. You'll learn from others and begin creating your professional network ready for when you graduate. There will be regular learning sessions with our leadership team, opportunities for site visits to local projects, and social events that will support your learning and development.
In this role you will:
- Design electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment works.
- Support pumping stations, reservoirs, flood resilience assets, and water transmission schemes.
- Produce power distribution, motor control, cable, lighting, and earthing designs and deliver instrumentation, control, and automation solutions alongside electrical design.
- Work with ICA specialists to ensure treatment processes and pumping systems can be operated, monitored, and controlled safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, civil, structural, and BIM teams.
- Support projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design, installation, and commissioning.
Areas highlighted in team strategy documents include renewables, hydrogen, hydropower, heat networks, energy storage, and decarbonisation projects.
