Overview

In this internship you’ll support flood risk and drainage studies as part of Arup’s flood risk team.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary colleagues to model catchment and river systems, informing designs and funding cases.

The role blends data analysis, GIS and hydraulic modelling to deliver practical, sustainable flood risk solutions for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support flood risk, drainage and hydraulic modelling studies for infrastructure and development projects.
  • Assist data collection, analysis and interpretation using GIS and modelling tools.
  • Contribute to technical reports, flood risk assessments and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical flood risk management solutions.
  • Participate in site visits, stakeholder engagement, and project meetings to grow professional and technical skills.

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering (or closely related field)
