The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with a focus on project delivery and leadership in wastewater and stormwater management, and a strong interest in river systems and environmental improvement from source to sea. The role sits within a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative, low-carbon and nature-based solutions at both local and catchment scale.

You will work on a wide range of nationally and globally significant projects, including wastewater and stormwater catchment studies (WINEP/NEP, SOAF), flood risk and river health analysis, civil structures, wastewater and stormwater treatment, and environmental flood mitigation schemes. The team delivers across advisory, strategic planning, detailed design, construction supervision, and asset health support. You will also contribute to research, digital tools, and innovative engineering approaches in collaboration with colleagues across disciplines.

This role offers the opportunity to shape your career path, whether specialising or gaining broader experience, within a supportive environment that actively invests in professional development and chartership.

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with curiosity, personal drive and technical know-how. You will be as inspired as we are by the problems we are solving and excited to be part of the team delivering the solutions. You will lead projects, work closely with our clients, and lead, support and develop a team of junior engineers, modellers and scientists around you.

We would like to speak with people who have experience in any of the following areas:

  • Wastewater solutions in networks and/or treatment facilities
  • Concept and detailed design of stormwater drainage and SuDS solutions
  • Delivering flood risk assessments, assessing catchment risks and developing solutions at the strategic, concept and detailed level.
  • Overseeing and working with multi-discipline teams including specialists such as process engineers, MEICA, placemaking and hydraulic modellers
  • Knowledge in managing data analytics; understand how we manage data, analyse it, create insight and help ensure we present meaningful results to clients which can inform decisions.

We’re keen you hold a recognised engineering professional qualification or be very close to achieving one.
