The Opportunity – Engineer Facilities Management
The Facilities Management team is made up of Mechanical and Electrical Services Engineers, who have a strong understanding of both the technical and the consultancy aspects of the job working in a variety of sectors.
We are looking for someone who has this blended technical knowledge, to undertake the process of providing specialist advice on all aspects of the aftercare of buildings including strategic and financial planning, technical services and operational support.
From that, you will deliver technical excellence and high-performance sustainable solutions.
This role is specifically for someone who has a foundation knowledge of electrical engineering preferably in buildings and is looking to strengthen this by moving into solving and delivering operational solutions for our clients.
The role is based in our Bristol office but travel to client’s premises throughout the UK and occasionally overseas will be required.

- Take part in the process of providing specialist advice on all aspects of the aftercare of buildings including strategic and financial planning, technical services and operational support.
- Understand the client’s key objectives and develop solutions to meet these.
- Work in a team that is managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment, while being able to deliver high‑quality results.
- Form part of the technical project team.
- Develop, and implement sustainable solutions on projects.
- Input and deliver deliverables such as technical solutions, reports, drawings, scopes of work and specifications.
Requirements
- Experience in engineering within the building services or property management environment working in a maintenance provider, managing agent or consulting role.
- Excellent technical, communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable, low‑carbon solutions and how these can impact on electrical capacity and installations.
- Previous auditing and report writing experience is beneficial.
- Be working towards membership with an industry institution such as IIE, IET and the IEEE with the ultimate aim of gaining Chartered Status.
- Possess ambition in the field of digital and digital transformation.
- Be Degree or HND/C qualified.
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
