Our UK Building Envelope and Façade practice has established teams in London, Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow, and we are now looking to build our presence in the Midlands. With work already being won in the region, this is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader to establish and grow a façade consultancy team and business in Birmingham.

You will take a major role in developing the business, building key relationships with clients, architects and collaborators, winning work, and representing Arup and its façade team on major projects. As a key member of the senior leadership of Arup’s Building Envelope and Facades practice in the UK, you will advocate for design and technical excellence while leading, supporting and developing the façade team.

  • You have significant experience designing or engineering facades, with a strong track record of technical delivery and client relationships.
  • You are ideally chartered and bring established skills in design and technical leadership.
  • You are an experienced integrator who builds strong working relationships with clients, architects and project teams across the span of construction projects.
  • You have a strong interest in the role façades play in unlocking a building's potential and achieving great performance through sustainable design.
  • You can represent Arup credibly at the most senior levels, building trust with clients and inspiring the development of colleagues across the UK and further afield.
