The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Aviation Environmental Consultant to support Arup's growing aviation business, spanning research, planning and delivery. Our work in this area spans airspace change, community engagement, master planning, aeroacoustics, research into the effects of noise on people, health and wellbeing, sustainability and policy. The role will be based in Arup’s UK Acoustics team but will work collaboratively and extensively with a range of disciplines across global regions.

  • Translating policy and technical issues into public and stakeholder-facing concepts for communications and publications.
  • Building and strengthening client relationship management processes to support growth.
  • Actively engaging with key clients in noise and airspace, sustainability and community engagement, understanding their needs and working with technical teams to develop bids, proposals and new offerings.
  • Playing a key role in cross-region business development and project delivery in Aviation in UK, Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East.

  • Hold a relevant qualification in Engineering, Sustainability, Policy or Business.
  • Have a strong research background and data synthesis experience.
  • Have expertise in aviation environmental regulation, including national and local policy frameworks.
  • Have experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and resources across global offices on complex projects.
