Our Midlands Bridges & Civil Structures team works on a diverse portfolio of projects across highways, rail, and major infrastructure schemes. Combining technical excellence with digital innovation, we collaborate across disciplines to deliver sustainable and resilient solutions that positively impact communities.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an Assistant BIM Technician to join our Bridges & Civil Structures team in the Midlands. Working as part of a collaborative team of engineers, technicians and digital specialists, you will support the delivery of a diverse range of bridge and infrastructure projects across highways, rail and other transport sectors.
In this role, you will help produce and coordinate BIM models, drawings and digital deliverables throughout all stages of project development, from early concept design through to construction. You'll work with industry-leading software and be involved in model coordination, quality reviews and the delivery of high-quality technical information that helps bring complex engineering projects to life.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys digital engineering, has a keen eye for detail and is looking to further develop their BIM and technical skills within a supportive and experienced team. You'll be encouraged to grow your expertise, explore new technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our digital delivery processes.
At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning to Arup, your career, our members, and the clients and communities we serve.
Is This Role Right For You?
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about digital engineering and collaborative design, with a strong desire to continue developing their technical and BIM capabilities.

- Experience producing BIM deliverables and technical drawings for civil infrastructure or bridge structures projects.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation, together with experience of 3D modelling software such as Civil 3D, OpenBuildings, Revit or Tekla.
- Understanding of BIM standards, including ISO 19650, model reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
