The Opportunity

Our PPM team work with clients across numerous industries, providing talented teams of Project Managers who support projects throughout the whole project or programme lifecycle from developing the initial business case to overseeing procurement, undertaking design management, and construction management. Due to continued business growth and development, we are seeking to recruit a Project Manager for the North Advisory team in Belfast on a hybrid basis. You will be responsible for a variety of project management activities with an emphasis on programme management and project controls, working in the Energy and Water sectors but may also assist on Highway and Rail projects.

Is this role right for you?

In conjunction with senior members across multidisciplinary teams, you will provide project management support to delivery teams in the following areas:

  • Contract & procurement management.
  • Change control & cost management.
  • Actions/Issues management.
  • Programme management (MSP and/or P6).

If you have a background of successful delivery of complex and challenging projects from an infrastructure (preconstruction and construction phase) perspective i.e. delivering to time, cost, quality, and sustainable outcomes, we’d like to hear from you!

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, architecture or project/construction management (or similar) and professional accreditation/certification such as APM (or similar) in the PPM environment.
  • Experience in the infrastructure capital works sector, with knowledge of the design process for major projects.
  • Customer focused with client relationship management skills, including the ability to understand client requirements and bring together different Arup capabilities to develop a solution.
  • The ability to manage consulting teams from a prime consultant position.
  • Analytical skills and a methodical mind-set for success within this detail-oriented environment.
