We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a 12 month contract based in Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol, or Nottingham. This role involves leading Mechanical design, supporting multidisciplinary project teams, and guiding junior engineers across a range of aviation projects.
- Lead and contribute to the design of mechanical building services including HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, heating systems, compressed air and specialist process ventilation.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, and digital engineering teams to deliver coordinated building systems for complex engineering environments.
- Undertake site visits, surveys, inspections, and technical assurance activities during construction and commissioning phases.
- Prepare engineering documentation including calculations, specifications, technical reports, schedules, and equipment selections.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- Knowledge of mechanical building systems design, including HVAC, cooling systems, process ventilation and building services integration.
- Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary engineering projects in technical or highly regulated environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform mechanical calculations, and review MEP design packages.
