On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Change Lead for a 6 month contract based remote in the UK (with some travel to closest office when required).

Key accountabilities, skills & experience
Purpose of the role: We are seeking an experienced Change Lead (Part-Time 3 days per week) to support the global roll-out of our Safety Critical Controls (SCC) and Risk-Based Assurance programmes. This role will drive enterprise-wide change, helping embed critical risk controls and assurance practices into how projects are bid, planned, delivered, and reviewed.
What you'll do:
- Develop and deliver global and regional change and adoption plans.
- Drive engagement across Operations, HSEQ, Procurement, Commercial, Legal, and project teams.
- Integrate SCC and Assurance requirements into project lifecycle processes.
- Design and deliver training, coaching, and adoption support.
- Track adoption, measure success, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support a cultural shift towards:
- Early risk identification and elimination.
- Focus on critical controls and high-consequence risks.
- Verification of controls through assurance and hold points.
- Clear ownership of risk within project teams.
The skills you'll need:
You are an experienced change professional who can translate complex risk and assurance concepts into practical, scalable ways of working. You are comfortable engaging with senior leaders, project teams, and technical specialists, and have a proven ability to drive adoption through stakeholder engagement, process integration, training, and performance measurement.
