We work from four branch clinics (Worthing, Ashington, Pulborough and Westergate) and two state‑of‑the‑art hospitals (Storrington and Chichester). Our sister businesses, South Downs Emergency Vets and South Downs Veterinary Referrals, operate from these two hospitals, and we work collaboratively to deliver exceptional, personalised care to our patients 24/7. Responsibilities
  • Provide first‑opinion and referral care, including medical and surgical cases.
  • Perform advanced diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation.
  • Contribute to clinical coaching, certificate acquisition, and leadership skill development.
About you
  • Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS) with a valid driving licence.
  • Demonstrates humility, respect, empathy, work ethic, honesty, communication, and teamwork.

Rota
  • 3‑day week, 10‑hour working shifts (7.30 am‑6.30 pm, 8.00am‑7.00 pm, 8.30 am‑7.30 pm), totalling 30 hours.
  • One‑hour lunch break.
  • Equal rota for daytime in‑patient care and help with emergencies, with one in‑seven weekends and bank holidays.
  • Two days off in lieu of any weekends worked.
  • No out‑of‑hours, except to act as "last‑resort" backup to dedicated emergency team on a rota; this is very rarely used.

This role is primarily based at our busy Chichester Hospital; you may be required to help out at other branches if necessary.
