Arun Estates is the largest independent estate agency in the southeast of England and in total we have just under 100 branches across our network. Working within an established team, this role will support the initial payroll input and HR administration for our Wards region for which you will have complete ownership.
The role will require you to have regular communication by phone and email with the Regional Directors and their Area PAs within your areas of the business, in addition to their employees with all pay related matters. This is a busy and varied role actioning the monthly cycle of pay related activities prior to our finance payroll teams’ involvement, including salary changes, bonus payments, an array of personal commission payments and recording of sickness.
In addition, you will also be responsible for creating and sending out associated HR correspondence such as confirmation of promotions, pay increases, contracts of employment, etc. This combination of meeting payroll deadlines and ongoing HR activity means that you need to enjoy the challenge of working to timelines, be happy to multi-task, be very organised and be comfortable to work across several different software systems.
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in either payroll or accounts, as the role requires confidence and understanding when dealing with numbers and people’s pay, a proficient knowledge of Excel, an inquisitive mind and a proactive “can do” customer focussed attitude.
