Overall Job Purpose: The council is looking to appoint an independent chairperson of a local partnership board which will oversee the distribution of up to Β£20 million to improve the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of residents in the Wick and Toddington area. If you feel that you can help the board develop a strong vision for the area and deliver meaningful change then we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities and Qualifications: You should have a proven track record at senior levels in complex organisations (public, private, voluntary) and a strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and probity. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with government, partners, and diverse groups as well as the ability to think strategically and demonstrate sound financial judgement. This is a voluntary role, but expenses incurred will be reimbursed. The appointment would be for an initial three-year period, and for the first year is likely to involve a commitment of up to one day a month.
