Overview

Join Us as Warm Homes Project Supervisor – Drive Retrofit Innovation, Reduce Fuel Poverty, and Help Shape a Sustainable Future. There’s never been a more exciting time to join Arun District Council’s Housing, Wellbeing & Communities team. As we deliver on our bold commitment to sustainability and resident wellbeing, we’re seeking a proactive and skilled Warm Homes Project Supervisor to lead the delivery of our £7.5 million Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (SH:SHF) Wave 3 project. This 3-year fixed-term contract is your opportunity to oversee the transformation of c.400 Council-owned homes, making them warmer, more energy-efficient, and better for the environment—helping to combat fuel poverty and deliver meaningful change in our communities.

At Arun, we’re building A Better Future—not just for our residents, but for the teams who serve them. You’ll be at the heart of a major retrofit programme, working alongside delivery partners, internal teams, and residents to coordinate the successful design, delivery, and compliance of complex energy efficiency projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of our retrofit programme, ensuring PAS 2035/2030 compliance and strong contractor performance.
  • Monitor budgets, ensure grant conditions are met, and report progress to senior managers, DESNZ, and elected members.
  • Act as the Council’s key liaison with delivery partners, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and resident satisfaction.
  • Support the integration of retrofit work into wider asset management and capital planning strategies.
  • Champion innovation, sustainability, and resident wellbeing at every stage of delivery.

Requirements / Qualifications

You’ll need to bring strong project management and technical skills, alongside a collaborative mindset and a passion for improving homes and lives. Experience in housing retrofit, building compliance, stakeholder coordination, and managing external contractors will be essential.

Benefits

  • A 3-year fixed term opportunity to lead a major investment project with significant social and environmental impact.
  • A supportive team environment grounded in our One Arun values of trust, kindness, and collaboration.
  • Flexible working patterns for the right candidate, helping you balance work and life effectively.
  • Ongoing professional development and the chance to represent Arun in regional energy efficiency forums.

If you’re ready to take the lead on one of our most ambitious housing programmes, and leave a lasting legacy in our district—we’d love to hear from you.
