Overall Job Purpose
This role has responsibilities across a wide variety of licensing subject areas including Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, Taxi’s, Charity Collections, Animal Establishments, Street Trading, Scrap Metal Dealers and Pavement Licensing.
The work includes processing applications and objections to licence applications within set procedures. Writing reports regarding contested applications and presenting to the Licensing Sub-Committee.
It also includes inspections of licensed premises, investigating alleged unlicensed premises, complaints regarding the operation of licensed premises, and taking appropriate enforcement action to gain compliance.
