Part time - 14.5 hours per week over 12 days. NJC Scale 2-3 / SCP 4-6. Littlehampton Town Council is seeking energetic staff to work across our sites in Littlehampton. We are looking to appoint a Caretaker/Cleaner to assist in maintaining good levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the building at Southfields Jubilee Centre, Southfields Road, Littlehampton, BN17 6AE.
Applicants must be:
- Friendly and helpful – to ensure all our venue hirers receive excellent customer service before, during and after their bookings.
- Flexible with working hours – our venues are open 6 days a week until late, so some occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Practical – for physical tasks including daily cleaning, general maintenance, setting up tables and chairs and manual handling.
We are looking for candidates with great transferable skills and life experience, so no specific employment experience is required. If you’re comfortable meeting members of the public, working in a small team, getting stuck in, problem solving and working independently, we’d love to hear from you. There is also the potential for further seasonal casual hours within our Amenity Team for the right candidate if required.
In return we can offer 23 days annual leave and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
