ARU's research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK's Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK's leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.
Our Apprenticeship Account Executive role is pivotal to developing the sales pipeline for ARU's growing portfolio of higher education apprenticeships. Responsibility for generating new business opportunities requires an enthusiastic, motivated team player who is a confident communicator, passionate about career development, helpful and resourceful in solving challenges, and eager to learn. You will represent ARU at internal and external events, and manage timely responses to inbound apprenticeship inquiries, both verbally and by email. You will be joining a high performing and experienced Business Development team who are responsible for the engagement and recruitment to a range of ARU's online and work-based learning courses and the development of innovative skills-focused higher educational initiatives for external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will have a degree or be part qualified in a relevant professional qualification specific to the role, or a minimum of two years work experience in a fast-paced customer-facing business environment, preferably in sales. Communication skills: verbal, written and presenting, are critical to the success of the role. In addition, you will have a go-getting attitude, commitment to customer service, an abundance of enthusiasm and resourcefulness and a strong work and team ethic, capable of managing your own workload with some supervision. You will be required to respond to inquiries from a range of channels following our customer service protocols and response KPIs. You will be proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, and be confident using a range of social media tools to promote our apprenticeship activities. As many of our events are off campus, the ability to travel independently is essential, for which travel expenses are reimbursed. On rare occasions, you will be expected to attend events out of usual working hours, including weekends.
We have an agile working culture and offer an extensive range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement, occupational pension schemes, training and development opportunities, travel to work scheme and a competitive relocation package.
