At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialize in animal, environmental, agricultural, and horticultural courses for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing to join our team at ARU Writtle. In this rewarding role, you will deliver engaging theoretical and practical teaching to Further Education (FE) students. You will also support learners in their academic and personal development, contribute to curriculum planning, and participate in student recruitment and promotion of our veterinary nursing programs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching veterinary nursing subjects across full-time and apprenticeship courses.
- Mentoring students and guiding their academic and professional growth.
- Contributing to curriculum development and course planning.
- Supporting student recruitment and promoting the course offer.
- Participating in evening, weekend, and holiday sessions as needed.
- Keeping up-to-date with professional practice through CPD.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) holding a Level 3 Diploma or BSc in Veterinary Nursing.
- Practical experience in small animal veterinary practice.
- Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills.
- A commitment to student success and professional development.
To be successful, you will have a Level 2 GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent, two A levels or Vocational qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You should also possess an appropriate endorsed teaching qualification or be willing to commence studies within one year of employment.
