About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join the Estates and Facilities Service at our Chelmsford campus.

This temporary opportunity will provide valuable support to the Estates & Facilities Finance Team during a busy period, including assistance with year-end financial processes.

The successful candidate will deliver administrative and customer service support, helping to ensure the smooth running of financial operations while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has previous expereience of eductation finance department processing purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and customer service support to the Estates & Facilities Finance Team.
  • Manage and respond to enquiries received through the department inboxes.
  • Assist with financial year-end activities and processes.
  • Process purchase orders and match invoices for payment.
  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
  • Support the team in delivering an efficient and professional service to internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Previous experience using ARU system business world or similar education finance systems would be advantageous
  • Essential experience of working with purchase orders and invoice matching processes.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and other business systems.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
