Artsy’s mission is to expand the art market to support more artists and art in the world. Artsy has created the world’s largest two-sided art marketplace, offering more than 1 million works by 100,000 artists from 4,000 leading galleries, fairs, auction houses, and institutions in more than 100 countries. Artsy is seeking an experienced art sales professional to join its Secondary Market team. This team is a high growth area of Artsy’s business that aims to create more liquidity in the market.
As a Collector Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales across Artsy’s unique and diversified digital sales channels; Artsy-Curated Auctions, private sales, and e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for both sourcing and selling in-demand property across all marketplace categories. You will be expected to engage your network of collectors and dealers, and unlock sales opportunities utilizing Artsy’s data. This is an individual contributor, quota-carrying sales position.
To be successful in this role, you must be a highly motivated revenue driver with a strong track record of art sales, with the ability to sell in an exclusively digital environment.
What You’ll Do- Sourcing: Identify and source high-demand supply from collectors, advisors and dealers across multiple categories. Provide white glove experience for sellers, guiding them through the unique process of selling works digitally.
- Selling: Develop robust collector network, driving a high volume of art sales transactions across all Artsy channels.
- Pipeline management: Manage full sales cycle — from prospecting new leads and out-bounding, to negotiation and closing. Work in collaboration with a number of stakeholders, including marketing, operations, legal, trust & safety to maintain a high caliber of curated auctions. Authenticate, catalog and price property.
- 5-10 years of professional experience selling art.
- Proven art sales track record, with existing collector relationships and book of business.
- Can independently manage a 360 degree sales cycle.
- Diligent in using CRM systems and tools for pipeline management.
- Creative problem-solver; ability to drive solutions for selling art in non-traditional, digital marketplace environment.

The base salary range for this role is $70,000-$100,000 annually. In addition, you will be eligible for the company’s commission plan. Artsy is committed to equitable compensation practices, and your offer will depend on the relevant experience and skillset you bring to the team.
