Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of a passionate team, you\’ll play a core part in delivering fun family activities and fantastic experiences for families this summer. You\’ll be a friendly face and develop games and activities that ensure each visitor to the Field of Play has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

We\’ll be welcoming tens of thousands of visitors over the summer holidays, and you\’ll be a key part of the Visitor Experience Team, helping ensure families have a great day out at Attingham.

Salary: £12.25 per hour

Contract duration: Fixed term contract until 31-Aug-2025

Hours/working pattern: We\’re a 7-day-a-week operation, 364 days a year. We\’re looking for 2 Service Assistants to join the Visitor Experience team, working 6 hours a day, 4 days a week, with regular weekend work. The role is expected to commence in the week starting 21st July 2025.

What it\’s like to work here

Reporting to the Senior Programming and Partnerships Officer, you\’ll be part of the Visitor Experience Team comprising staff and volunteers. Attingham is full of life and locally loved, and you\’ll focus on delivering our Summer of Play family programme at the Field of Play. The play hub features a straw fort, various play zones including football and a pre-schooler\’s construction zone, and a giant tipi with scheduled activities throughout August.

What you\’ll be doing

This outdoor role involves working at our Field of Play to facilitate visitors enjoying the summer play hub. Responsibilities include greeting entertainers and volunteers, running games, and leading activity sessions to ensure visitors have a memorable experience.

Attingham is a lively and thriving estate, with no two days the same. Our friendly team works to conserve and care for the estate, continuing the legacy of the 8th Lord and Lady Berwick, who left it to the National Trust in 1947.
