Job Summary
We are delighted to announce that an opportunity has arisen to join the technical team at Malvern Theatres in the role of Head of Lighting & Sound.
Job Description
Contract Term: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours a week, requires evening and weekend work although employees are supported and encouraged to enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
Responsible to: Technical Director
Salary Package: £37,000-£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) and a contribution towards relocation expenses.
Annual Leave: 31 days including all bank holidays.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the Lighting & Sound department within the Malvern Theatres complex and should have previous experience in a similar receiving/touring venue. Whilst working closely with the Technical Director the Head of Lighting & Sound will also work alongside the Head of Stage, sharing the responsibility of managing all staff during the get-in and get-out for each show.
Now is an exciting time to join the team at Malvern Theatres with the commencement of our £20 million Levelling Up project, which will make us one of the largest arts centres in the UK. As part of the project the Head of Lighting & Sound will be involved with specifying equipment and liaising with the installers on how the different systems integrate with the existing building as well as the usual schedule of shows.
