Art Camp UK is seeking dynamic, skilled artists and creative practitioners to deliver inspiring after-school clubs during term time in Leeds and run award-winning holiday camps across Leeds, Harrogate, and York.

Job Description
Role 1: Artists for After-School Clubs (Leeds)
We are recruiting artists to lead after-school sessions in local primary schools, typically between 3:30-4:30pm on weekdays.
We are particularly interested in practitioners with skills in:
- Visual arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, 3D printing)
- Film, TV, and digital media (filmmaking, animation, radio, TV presenting)
- Performing arts (theatre, circus, dance, singing, music)
- Creative play (forest schools, giant bubbles, carnival arts, experimental workshops)
Requirements:
- Experience teaching or facilitating children\’s workshops
- Enhanced DBS (existing preferred, but can be arranged)
- Availability on weekday afternoons
- Ideally able to drive between school sites
Job Responsibilities
Deliver engaging creative workshops in after-school clubs and seasonal Art Camps.
- Inspire children aged 6-11 across visual arts, design and making.
- Plan safe, inclusive sessions adapted for mixed abilities.
- Build confidence, creativity and self-expression.
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and behaviour policies.
- Collaborate with staff, schools and the Art Camp UK team.
- Communicate professionally with schools, parents and partners.
- Bring your artistic specialism and contribute ideas to programme development.
Contract & Hours
Temporary (fixed-term) with guaranteed minimum 5 hrs/week (1 hr/day, Mon-Fri, ~15:15-16:15). Optional Art Camp weeks at starting at £120/day.
Pay
After School Clubs £40-£50 per 60-75 min session (rate varies by pupil numbers and kit). Holiday pay paid in addition.
