The Playhouse wishes to recruit a Project Officer to support the financial tracking, administration and coordination of the PEACEPLUS Making Peaceful Change Programme in Northern Ireland and the Border Counties of Ireland.
The Project Officer role supports the Making Peaceful Change portfolio of work at The Playhouse, by supporting the finance and administration of a diverse programme that explores social justice and rights‑based issues through trauma‑informed, arts‑led practice. The Project Officer has a vital role regarding The Leaders for Peace Network Summits, The Leaders for Peace Training Programme, That’s Powerful community workshops, and our Operation Desperation theatre production. They will work closely with the Making Peaceful Change Project Manager, the Senior Finance Manager and within the Collaborative Arts Team.
The Playhouse welcomes organised and collaborative individuals with an interest in the transformative power of the creative arts within peace building. The successful candidate will have excellent financial tracking, administration, organisational and communication skills. Detail‑oriented and highly‑organised, they will understand the value of well‑maintained systems to support delivery and people across multiple projects.
Making Peaceful Change is a project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
About the Organisation
The Playhouse is a vibrant theatre and arts organisation in Northern Ireland. We’re a national asset: an award‑winning producing theatre, an empowering centre for learning and a global leader in arts and peaceful change. We matter locally, regionally and to the international communities we connect with.
We’re a space to make meaning and a place that’s here for good. We believe in inclusion, inspiring creativity and opening up the imaginative world of theatre, dance, art and music for everyone to enjoy.
We have three strategic areas of endeavour: Producing Art, Empowering People and Making Peaceful Change.
The Playhouse is core funded by the Arts Council for Northern Ireland, Derry City and Strabane District Council, and Community Relations Council and is supported by a range of Trusts and Foundations as well as business partners, sponsors, philanthropists and members.
