Tegid (Llion Williams) and Hudson (Rhodri Evan) have spent every National Eisteddfod together (except one) since their college days, in the late 70’s. A week in the National Eisteddfod is like life: it flies by, and the first Saturday slips into the last in no time. We join the two at the Eagles pub on the last, wet Saturday afternoon of the Llanrwst Eisteddfod. Like every other year they have spent the whole week wistfully yearning for old ‘legends’ of past Eisteddfodau or planning the next big ‘sesh’. Tegid tends to look to the past or the future, without embracing the present and with each Eisteddfod blending into a haze. But can Hudson persuade him to relish the here and now, before it’s too late? The past and present are close companions, and every Eisteddfod reminds us of the people who shared the experience with us. As long as the Eisteddfod endures, the people who were once with us remain part of our story and still live within us. “One creates legends at the Eisteddfod, don’t you agree?” Tegid
The show will be presented on the maes at the National Eisteddfod in Wrexham at 5pm on Wednesday the 6th, Thursday the 7th, and Friday the 8th in the multi-media space in the Science Village.
