We’re very happy to share that submissions are now open for ADRA - Screendance Festival Wales, taking place on 11 April 2026 at The Riverfront Theatre, Newport. ADRA will be Wales’ first international festival dedicated entirely to screendance - celebrating movement on screen in all its forms and bringing together artists, audiences, and communities from Wales and beyond.

What is ADRA? ADRA celebrates movement on screen in a broad range of styles, art forms, and approaches. You can submit Choreography, Improvisation, Animation, Documentary, Narrative, Experiential, Abstract, and Experimental films. Anything in which movement on screen is the main component.

The festival includes three film categories (Reel Shorts, Shorts, Open) and four tiers (International, Wales, Graduate, Youth & Community), with jury awards, an audience award, and Best Film.

ADRA is presented by Kokoro Arts and The Riverfront Theatre, with support from Ffilm Cymru Wales. Submissions are open via FilmFreeway: https://filmfreeway.com/ADRA-Screendance
